About Us
Southern Alleghenies EMS Council is a non-profit (501(c)(3)) organization that is one of 16 regional EMS councils in Pennsylvania.
We are contracted to the Pennsylvania Department of Health to plan, develop, maintain, expand and improve EMS systems within the counties of Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fulton, Huntingdon, and Somerset in South-Central Pennsylvania.
We provide support and assistance to the Bureau of EMS in carrying out the provisions of the Emergency Medical Services Act and pursuant regulations; and provide support and assistance to EMS services, personnel, hospitals, and others within our counties.
