EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS SPECIALIST
Seven Mountains EMS Council
The successful candidate will be responsible for the
planning, development and coordination of specialized EMS activities such as
communications, recruitment and training of volunteers for disaster
response, and disaster planning and/or possible response. This
motivated, detail-oriented person needing minimal oversight will collaborate
with various state, regional and local agencies to accomplish these
objectives. This position will be based out of Centre County and will
oversee activities within a 13 county area.

Emergency Preparedness Specialist EMMCO
West
EMMCO West is pleased to announce a full time position opening.
The Emergency Preparedness Specialist position is one of six positions
being advertised across the Commonwealth. The emergency
preparedness specialist will be based out of EMMCO West, Meadville,
PA and will oversee a geographic area within the NW PA DOH district
area.
The position is a
federally funded position through the Office of Public Health
Preparedness, PA Department of Health. The Emergency Preparedness
Specialist will assist county EMA, EMS agencies, public health, and
emergency service stakeholders coordinate EMS assets and resources.
The deadline for submission of a letter of intent and resume is
September 11, 2009.

Requirements:
Provides basic and advanced life support and emergency pre hospital care and
rescue services to persons in medical emergencies, life threatening disasters
and catastrophes. City residency is required prior to appointment. Applicants
must present a current, valid PA certificate of completion of Emergency Medical
Technician (EMT-P) training at the time of application. A current, valid Class C
PA Motor Vehicle Operator's License req'd. prior to appointment.
